The Last Supper written by class 5CLa

His journey began at the Mount of Olives,
with his trusted disciples beside him,
Two were sent to find a donkey, fit for a humble king,
so special that donkey, it would join him on his journey.

“The master needs your donkey,” the disciple said and immediately they were let free.
The men majestically spread their cloaks, to make the donkey complete.
Rip and lay fresh branches, as a path for him,
As a triumphant Jesus rides his donkey, entering Jerusalem.

While people joyfully wave and cheer, unaware of his tragic fate.
But courageous Jesus rides on, proudly, ready to enjoy his last supper.
Jesus was saying he was the special king,
So this made people angry and they wanted rid of him.

Foolish Judas, a disciple, was happy to betray, just for 30 silver coins.
One last night they all joined, the 12 disciples sat together.
Jesus carefully laid a towel like an apron and fetched the holy water.
Whilst the surprised disciples looked on, Jesus calmed his friends and tenderly washed their feet.

“Do you understand what I did?” He asked. “I helped you with my kindness.”
He shared his bread and finally said, “One of you here will betray me”
The disciples stared in shock at the thought that someone could do this.
“Who is it that will do this terrible thing?”, The reply- Judas the one who took all the risks.

11 disciples were concerned and confused, as one left, with the look of guilt on his face.
Anastasia This is my blood, remember me, never forget, never forget.
Will This death will seal a new peace, remember me, never forget, never forget.
This is my body, remember me, never forget, never forget.
Don’t be afraid, I will not leave, never forget, never forget.

The Betrayal of Jesus, written by class 5PD

Jesus Christ went to Gethsemane,
Crestfallen, he prayed.
Saddened, he told Peter he would deny him
Three times that day.

The one I touch is the one you want
A slow stride towards him.
Judas’ hand upon his shoulder
The soldiers beat and seized him.

“I do not know him” Once.
“I swear I’ve never met him” Twice.
“I don’t know who he is” Thrice.
Before the cockerel crowed in the distance.

Dragged into the priest’s house,
Hands tied, flung to the floor.
The unfair trial finally ended.
This is the part of his life he will never get back.

Judas flung the bag of riches,
All over the priests floor.
He hung himself by rope,
And brought his life to an end.

Jesus was found guilty,
Yet had done nothing wrong.
He was accused of blasphemy,
And now his fate is set.

The Crucifixion, written by class 5PW

This cross a burden, this hill so steep,
Thorns cruelly crown my head, I bleed.
Crowds stare at me, I have nowhere to hide.
Humiliated, I must not cry.

Taunting me, leering, calling me names,
I am in agony.
This imminent pain is a sign of the end.
My journey is nearly over.

The nails that pierce my heavenly skin,
In vain- In vain.
The ones that spilt my Godly blood,
In vain - In vain.

This was the end, the sky turned black.
An eerie silence descended across the lands.
Weeping blood, I could cry no more.
The guards ignored my pain.

Stabs of pain, signalled my end.
Hatred had spread across the hills.
Crowds of fear watched intensely.
This would be where my life ends.

‘My Son’ she cried, for now he is dead.
Jesus’s blood spread across Mary’s hands.
He heart was broken,
her tears were shed.

The Resurrection, written by class 5TC

Many souls were scarred, many hearts were shattered.
The skies turned grey, everything became dark.
Voices jeered, echoing triumphantly.
In the tomb Jesus lay alone.

A glistening blast from the heavens above,
Caused the petrified guards to flee.
The Holy Spirit came floating down,
Removed the stone and released hope.

Women carrying myrrh to Jesus,
Found the deserted tomb untouched.
An angel told the anxious women,
To tell his friends Jesus has risen.

The holy figure, that seemed unknown,
Came before Mary in the dawn of day.
Her face was lit up through tears of joy.
Loved by many, risen by God!

Jesus disciples were sober with sorrow,
When Jesus came beside his friends.
At first they did not recognise.
But soon their desolation turned to joy.
