Marchants Hill - Monday
The singing began on the bus on our way to Marchants Hill and the children were all extremely excited to pull up at the centre.
Despite the rain that began as we stepped off the coach, this didn't dampen children's spirits and children made their way to their rooms excitedly and began to unpack their belongings.
After a while of free time in the room, children were given a short tour of the centre and made their way to dinner. With mini mountains of food, the children piled their plates high and loved their dinner. The chocolate crispy cakes went down very quickly for desert!
Next on the schedule was our first evening activity of the week - a camp fire! This was an interesting camp fire as, due to the weather, this had to be inside. This did not change the children's energy levels or spirits as they sung (and in many cases screamed) out words to chants and songs that they were taught. A film then proceeded so children calmed down and have now all gone off to bed.
They can't wait for their activities tomorrow which consist of: the infamous mud challenge, zip wire, raft building and powerfan, just to name a few!
We look forward to sharing another update with you tomorrow
