Parent Governor
I am a parent of two, one attends Hook Junior School and the other is in Hook Infant School. I come from a French/Swiss background and spent my early years in a French and International education system which was both bicultural and bilingual. I have had the opportunity to use my languages and communication skills to travel and work in different countries and learn about different cultures. I have also spent many years working for Chartered Surveyors.
I have been inspired by the work of professionals who provide guidance and support to children with SEN and I have spent the past 6 years learning and attending courses. In recent years I have gained experience supporting children with additional needs including autism. I currently work at a school as a teaching assistant with a focus on SEND.
I am very passionate in the belief that all children receive the support required for their educational needs, that each child has a unique take on the world that surrounds them and that each child should feel valued and have access to the curriculum.
