For their Christmas production, year 4 children performed 'A Christmas Toy Story', a magical musical play telling the tale of a group of toys who come to life during the early hours of Christmas morning.

Several weeks before Christmas, children in year 4 began memorising their lines, rehearsing their songs and making their costumes for the production. We hope those of you who came to see one of the performances enjoyed the event.

Here's what our media correspondents thought:

We were lucky enough to watch the Year 4 Christmas Play, ‘A Christmas Toy Story.’ Every child got a part, whether it was behind the scenes or on the stage. It was amazing to see everyone taking part and putting 110% effort into each performance. Consequently, it was fun and enjoyable for all to watch.

The Year 4 children’s innovative ideas helped produce the final piece and overcome all the challenges that they might have faced along the way. A huge thank you to Mrs Booth for organising and making all the costumes and Mrs Wakefield for her support with the costumes as well.

“It was a creative storyline which they performed very confidently” said Ines B, year 6.

Well done Year 4 for a phenomenal play performed with confidence and courage!
