Vice Chair and Local Authority Governor

My family and I moved to Hook over 11 years ago from Somerset. Both of my daughters have successfully attended Hook Junior School and my wife, Liz, works at the school as an HLTA.

I work as an Account Manager for a large multinational company. I believe that we should all look to support the community that we live in and this why I have always volunteered. Currently I’m the treasurer of the Basingstoke Area Youth Orchestras and Choirs and I also work as part of the Children and Young Peoples Team for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service delivering core messages to all age groups.

I have previously been a Governor for a school in Somerset and also for Hook Junior School. With over 10 years’ experience of different committees and roles the time is right to become a Governor again and be part of the team at Hook Junior School working with all children, parents and carers, staff and other Governors at a strategic level to ensure the visions and goals are realised.

Any spare time I have is filled with my passion in music, particularly brass bands, where I have been fortunate enough to play at many prestigious venues around the UK.
