Marchants Hill - Wednesday

After the early morning mist had cleared we strolled to breakfast. Fuelling our bellies with bacon, mushrooms, beans and other delights we were ready for action.

Raft building was hard work and we ceratinly needed our muscles! Pulling ropes and barrels into imaginative designs. Mr Curtis' group won the PGL best design - they had never seen such a creative and unusal way of binding the materials together.

Getting muddy at Marchants Hill

The overnight rain ensured that there were plenty of fresh puddles for the mud challenge. The children were eager to get messy!

After building up an appetite we feasted on a selection of jacket potatoes, pasta and salad. We also discovered an interesting mix of cold fishfingers in a caesar dressing!

The afternoon activities consisted of quad biking, zip wire and fencing.

All of the children have had another fantastic day but here are another few notable successes of the day:

  • Joseph Howe: being brave and perservering to the top before leaping off of the powerfan.
  • Thomas Affleck-Cruise: Being a fantastic 'rafter' and joining in a game of heads, shoulders, knees and toes in the lake!
  • Mitchel Poole: For being a fantastic quad biker.

After another enjoyable evening meal and a visit to the shop for one class, we all headed back to our rooms to glam up for the disco. With the music playing and children showing off their super dance moves we can safely say another brilliant day has been had by all!
